Welcome to Offenburg’s barrier-free

internet service

The City of Offenburg would also like to offer disabled people access to the information on the internet. This page gives you tips on how to obtain the desired information more easily by using the keyboard controls or by adapting the font size.

Keyboard controls

The following functions can be performed:

“ALT” + “0”: To the homepage

“ALT” + “1”: To the sitemap

“ALT” + “2”: To the conditions of use

“ALT” + “3”: To the start of text

“ALT” + “4”: Previous page

“ALT” + “5”: Next page

“ALT” + “6”: To the main menu

“ALT” + “7”: To the sub-menu

“ALT” + “8”: To the 2nd sub-menu

“ALT” + “9”: To the help page

Note: While Netscape or Firefox (Mozilla) can assume the desired position immediately after the key combination is pressed, Internet Explorer requires an additional confirmation with the “Enter” key (so, for example ALT + 0 Enter).

Mac users use the “CTRL” key instead of the ALT key.

Besides these general key commands, the individual browsers provide other key commands. You can find out more about these key commands on the sub-pages Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Change font, print page

These functions, which are specific to each browser, can be found on the sub-pages Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Screen reading programs (screen readers) allow the blind access to the internet. The best known of these programs is JAWS.

At offenburg.de short summaries of what can be expected on the respective sub-pages exist for all menu items. This information in the individual menu items is read aloud by the screen reader.
